Quando Rondo involved in L.A. Shooting, Friend of artist Lul Pab Killed: Report
It's been over a year since Quando Rondo and his entourage were ambushed by unknown assailants who opened fire on them. One person reportedly escaped with minor injuries, and everyone else escaped unscathed. However, according to reports today (August 19), Rondo was once again the victim of gunfire, this time being struck.
Furthermore, his close friend, Lul Pab, was killed during the altercation, according to reports.
Details about what allegedly happened have yet to be released in full, but there have been updates on social media. Many people who claim to be Quando Rondo's friends have taken to social media to tell him to stay strong and letting fans know that he is in stable condition.
Members of the hip hop community are using social media to revisit King Von's murder as Rondo recovers. Von and his crew were at a lounge in Georgia when they got into a fight with Rondo's entourage. Authorities believe Rondo's friend, Lul Tim, was responsible for the shooting and death of the rising Chicago star. The scandal has caused Rondo to repeatedly defend himself against critics and threats.
Quando Rondo was involved in a shooting in Los Angeles on Friday (August 19) night, and fans were concerned for his safety. Initial reports speculated that he may have died in the incident, but it was later confirmed that he did survive, though not all of his entourage did.
According to XXL, a video has emerged online following the drive-by in which a man who resembles Quando can be seen screaming in agony as officers remove his friend, Lul Pab, who had been hit, from the vehicle.
The initial shooting occurred in the Beverly Grove neighborhood, and though the recording artist's friend was taken to the hospital, Lul Pab died from his injuries.
Authorities believe Quando and his crew were at a gas station filling up when three men in a white vehicle pulled up alongside their black Cadillac Escalade and opened fire.
According to KABC, a 23-year-old man (who was initially thought to be the Georgia native but is now known to be his friend) was taken from the SUV and rushed to the hospital. Lul Pab was allegedly shot while sitting inside the SUV; it is unclear whether there was an exchange of gunfire, but we do know that the shooters are still on the loose.
"We don't know why or how this happened, all we know is that the victim's vehicle, they pulled up, they were pumping gas and it looks like they probably finished pumping gas and the suspects approached from the alley, got out of the car and started shooting at those victims," said LAPD Lt. John Radke.
